I just had a great return to the Omega Recording Studio in Rockville, Maryland on October 18th and 19th. With the very capable help and expertise of brother Ed, and the skillful sound engineer, Scotty O’Toole working his magic, I was able to record six brand new, original songs, plus an updated version of Angels On Horseback with two newly added verses.
Why the update of Angels On Horseback? I wanted to tell the rest of the story… why the cabbies, preachers, and teachers were included in the original song (the horsemen, “people you meet as you pass on the street”, and flashing lights were already explained). It will have a different sound too, with additional instrumentation. “Angels On Horseback: The Complete Story” will likely be the title for this new version. We still have a lot of work to do to get the finished products for all the songs, and I’m very excited and looking forward to completion of this project.
